If you want the edge on your competition, we’ve got your back. This unit has unmatched levitation heights and load capability. The Octo88 (previous clm 2) can lift up to 10kg and has a maximum levitation height of 88mm.
Levitating height
up to 88mm
An unloaded disk levitates a 88mm. With a full 10kg load, the levitation height is at 32 mm.
For maximum visual effect, a load of 4 kg max is advised.
See table below for load vs levitation height.
LOAD | LEVITATION HEIGHT |
Load = 0 kg | H_levitation = 88 mm |
Load = 1 kg | H_levitation = 75 mm |
Load = 3 kg | H_levitation = 58 mm |
Load = 6 kg | H_levitation = 41 mm |
Load = 10 kg | H_levitation = 32 mm |
You can hide our technology to make your product levitate even more magically. There are just some things to take into account in order to prevent damage to your levitation module.
The Void71 and the Octo88 have a standard built in fan; two air intakes with fans, and two air outputs. So if you hide the module inside an enclosure, it is very important separate the cool air coming in, and the warm air going out of the enclosure and to equip the enclosure with an extra fan to suck in cool air.
An example and instructions can be found in the manual “hiding_module” on this page.
The important things
- Try not to stretch the limits of the module in terms of a too heavy object, or too high. (this will create heat.)
- Make sure there is active ventilation.
- Make sure the airflow is bottom to top.
- Make sure the hot air and cool air don’t mix.
